Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr

Performance Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a respected metal fabrication company to identify a skilled Estimator who brings both technical accuracy and strong customer‑facing abilities.

This role is ideal for an Estimator who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys interpreting technical drawings, and takes pride in delivering precise, profitable, and timely estimates that keep production moving smoothly.

The Estimator will prepare competitive and accurate estimates for the fabrication of metal products while supporting inside sales inquiries across walk‑ins, phone calls, and online requests. This position works closely with management and production teams, ensuring each project is clearly defined, cost‑effective, and set up for success.

• Review and interpret CAD files, drawings, prints, and specifications to determine material, labor, and time requirements
• Prepare detailed material take‑offs based on customer files, samples, or sketches
• Assign appropriate machine time and labor hours to develop accurate cost estimates
• Track and document design changes, adjusting estimates as needed
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without sacrificing quality or performance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Manage extras, change orders, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the process

• Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience, ideally in metal fabrication or a related manufacturing field
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Solid understanding of metal types, fabrication processes, and shop practices
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working across departments or with customers
