Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our team. As a Powder Coat Painter, you will be responsible for applying high‑quality finishes to various metal products using powder coating techniques. Your expertise in surface preparation, paint application, and curing processes will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of appearance, durability, and corrosion resistance. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of our products, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.

You will operate manual paint guns on the powder coat line as well as spray parts.

Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation:
    Thoroughly clean and prepare metal surfaces for powder coating by using various methods such as cleaning agents, sanding, masking, and other surface preparation techniques.
  • Powder Coating Application:
    Skillfully apply powder coatings to metal products using electrostatic spray guns, ensuring even and consistent coverage while minimizing waste.
  • Curing Process:
    Operate curing ovens to properly cure the powder coating, adhering to specified time and temperature settings to achieve the desired finish.
  • Quality Control:
    Inspect finished products for flaws, irregularities, and adherence to quality standards; perform necessary touch‑ups or rework as needed to maintain high‑quality finishes.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Maintain and clean powder coating equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Workplace Safety:
    Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling materials, operating equipment, and working in the powder coating area.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical certification or vocational training in powder coating application or related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
    • Additional training in surface preparation, paint application, and equipment maintenance is an advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
    • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
