Overview
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production equipment along with facility maintenance that supports the overall business goals and objectives. Working with Machine Operators, Production Supervisor and Manager, this role will encompass a hands-on approach, working side-by-side to complete routine repairs, corrective repairs, and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise. At least 3-5 years of experience in Production/Fabrication Plant Maintenance with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
Prior experience working within OSHA safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE a plus.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
- Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Provide guidance and training to operators that covers electrical and mechanical equipment
- Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices
- Request parts and maintain inventory of tools for workforce
- Encourage team effort
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties
- Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment are operating efficiently
- Troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on a variety of automated machinery; including PLCs, pneumatics, robotics and electrical systems
- Ability to follow all environmental, health and safety procedures
- May require working any shift including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
