Job Overview
The Fleet Services Division maintains county vehicles and small equipment by performing both routine and preventative maintenance on a scheduled service interval. In addition, computerized records are maintained for parts, labor, and fuel usage for the accurate tracking of cost analysis required for operations and equipment replacement.
An anticipated hourly salary range for this position is $18.55 to $21.57.
Responsibilities- Performs all duties of vehicle/equipment services and safety inspections
- Inspects, replaces, or repairs tires, operates wheel balance equipment, and tire changer
- Performs NC Inspections on all vehicles
- Transports vehicles/equipment to and from outside vendors
- Maintains accurate and organized notes and paperwork on all jobs
- Shop housekeeping
- Graduation with a high school diploma or GED equivalency
- A valid driver's license is required.
Must be willing to obtain the NC State Inspection License and Forklift Operators permit upon hire.
The applicant selected must undergo and pass a drug screening test prior to employment.
