Ruby Developer

You can write Mentoring that works or Scrum that lasts; our Ruby Developer role at Slack is for engineers who insist on both. Match 1 years and Scrum to this Charlotte job and you unlock $51,000 - $80,000, a full-time schedule, and steady upward room.

• Carry the Express.js platform work that makes Slack's next NC expansion boring
• Lead the Scrum migration that finally retires Slack's refreshingly-candid legacy stack
• Optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization at scale
• Apply Git and Mentoring to solve quietly-ambitious engineering challenges
• Integrate third-party services and internal tools into the Slack stack
• Carry a hands‑on Express.js feature through code freeze without breaking Slack stability

• A communicator who writes the meeting recap nobody asked for but everyone reads
• Demonstrated wins in technology work somewhere near Charlotte, NC
• 1 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it
• Proven Git results, ideally seasoned in Charlotte, NC

Slack spent 1 years in the trenches of technology so its clients across Charlotte, NC wouldn’t have to. We believe great REST API work comes from people who feel safe to experiment and occasionally fail.

With $51,000 - $80,000 as the anchor, expect mentorship, a benefits package worth bragging about, and the latitude to work remote-first.
