Looking for a part-time purchase ledger role that fits around your life?

If that sounds like you, you'll want to keep reading.

We're delighted to be partnering once again with an established, award-winning civil engineering business on an exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a part-time basis.

Based in Team Valley, you'll join a successful business with an impressive portfolio of projects across the North East and beyond.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive finance team where your contribution will be valued from day one.

Whether you're looking to balance work around family commitments, reduce your hours, return to the workplace, or simply find a better work-life balance, this role offers the chance to utilise and develop your accounts payable experience within a successful and established business.

You'll also receive:

25 days' holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Training and support
Some exposure to month-end activities
A varied role within a successful, established business
Flexible part-time hours working 2-3 days per week

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Processing supplier invoices, credit notes and expenses
Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
Reconciling supplier statements
Resolving supplier queries and PO discrepancies
Processing company credit cards
Supporting with month-end and general finance administration

About You

You'll have previous experience within purchase ledger or accounts payable, with a good understanding of supplier invoice processing, purchase orders and statement reconciliations.

You'll be confident resolving queries and discrepancies, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues across the business.

Whilst experience within a similar role is important, we're equally interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to thrive within a busy finance environment.

If you're looking for a part-time opportunity with a successful local employer where you can utilise your purchase ledger experience whilst maintaining flexibility around your other commitments, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note, the advertised salary of up to £30,000 is a full-time equivalent salary and will be pro-rated based on the agreed part-time working hours.
