Are you someone who enjoys improving processes, finding smarter ways of working and bringing new ideas to enhance services?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Organisation and People Development Coordinator to join our OD and Learning team at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of learning, leadership and people development activities across the Trust. As well as coordinating a wide range of learning and development programmes and systems, you will help drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes, identifying efficiencies and supporting the introduction of innovative digital and automated solutions.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will lead a small administrative team, use data and insights to support decision making, and contribute to projects that improve the experience of learners, managers and staff. We are looking for someone who is curious, forward-thinking and confident in challenging existing ways of working to help us create effective, modern and customer-focused services.

Main duties of the jobo Provide day-to-day coordination of administrative processes across the function to support smooth and effective service delivery.o Act as a senior point of contact for the administrative team, offering guidance and ensuring consistent, high-quality customer service.o Maintain, update and monitor a range of trackers, including apprenticeships, widening participation activities, induction, Trust Prospectus updates, CPD, Learning Needs Analysis, coaching, study leave and ESR-related information.o
Ensure accurate and timely recording of learning information and support the preparation of reports, data summaries and documentation.o Support the organisation and coordination of activities, events and programmes, ensuring all arrangements are completed.o Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve accuracy and enhance the learner experience.o Assist in exploring and implementing digital and automated solutions to reduce manual tasks and support modernised ways of working.o
Line manage the assistant team, including overseeing workload allocation, providing day-to-day support, encouraging good team communication.o Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies, procedures and data governance at all times.
Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
