As we expand our reach and continue to build our team, we are looking for an Event Executive to join our team on a part-time freelance basis with a particular focus on supporting our event villages at the different races across the region!

The Role

We are looking for someone with a passion for running to join an established and growing company. You will be working directly with our events team in the north to organise and deliver running events across the region and helping runners to have the best experience at Run Through events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our event staff across weekend and occasional mid-week events
  • Assist with the construction, presentation, and dismantling of the event village, including signage, equipment, branding, and infrastructure
  • Act as a welcoming point of contact, answering questions and helping participants navigate the event site
  • Help manage queues, maintain clear walkways, and support the smooth operation of activities within the event village
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, communicate effectively with participants and colleagues, and support the wider event team as required throughout the event day
Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in live events, an interest in running, and be a fast learner. They will work well as part of a team at events, focused on the event village and supporting runners to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Essential
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and calm under pressure
  • Ability to carry out manual tasks
  • Confident and able to ride a bike at the front of a road race
  • Passion for delivering faultless events with a customer‑centric focus
  • Willing to work on weekends
  • Full UK manual Driving Licence and comfortable with driving a van, if required.
Desirable
  • Experience working live events
  • Keen interest in and knowledge of running.
