Education World are recruiting a confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a school in Gateshead. This role involves supporting pupils who may face challenges with emotional regulation, social interaction, or behaviour. You will work closely with students to help them re‑engage with learning, develop resilience, and build positive relationships within school.

• Experience supporting young people with behavioural needs in a school, youth work, or mentoring environment
• A calm, resilient, and supportive approach to managing behaviour
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Knowledge of behaviour strategies and restorative practices (advantageous but not essential)
• A genuine passion for helping pupils improve confidence, resilience, and emotional well‑being

• Delivering one‑to‑one or small group behaviour support for identified pupils
• Assisting students in managing emotions and behaviour inside and outside the classroom
• Supporting teachers with behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
• Building trust and acting as a positive role model for pupils
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to behaviour support plans
• Assisting with wider school inclusion and pastoral initiatives
