SEN English Teacher - Temporary (4 Days per Week)
Start: ASAP
Duration:  ASAP - July 2026

Location:

Gateshead
Working Pattern: 4 days per week - Monday-Thursday

We are supporting a specialist provision in Gateshead seeking a temporary SEN English Teacher to work with KS3, KS4 and Post-16 learners.

Role Overview :

Delivering Entry Level and Functional Skills English
Working with pupils with ASD, SEMH and learning difficulties
Supporting learners working at a lower academic level
Teaching within a small-group, specialist setting

Requirements:

Strong experience supporting SEN learners
Confident teaching Entry Level / Functional Skills English
Flexible, calm and adaptable approach
Ability to work respectfully within a religious community setting

Desirable:

Background in SEN schools, alternative provision or specialist settings
QTS advantageous but not essential
