Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Gateshead
Start Date: Easter 2026
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £90–£100 per day

Teaching Personnel is seeking motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduates Teaching Assistant to work across schools in Gateshead. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Youth Work or Social Care.
About the Role- Work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support their learning
- Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement, confidence and wellbeing
- Support students with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored support and interventions
- Monitor student progress and communicate any concerns effectively with teaching staff
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills in behaviour management, safeguarding, emotional regulation and classroom support.
What We’re Looking For- A degree in Psychology (or a related field)

- Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
