Position: Psychology Graduates - SEN support

Psychology Graduate – Specialist SEND School

Gateshead

£85–£100 per day

Full-time | Long-term

A specialist school in Gateshead is looking for a Psychology graduate to join their team supporting pupils with autism and complex needs. It’s hands‑on, meaningful work, and no two days are the same.

You’ll be working alongside experienced SEND professionals who genuinely care about doing things properly. Think structure, consistency, and lots of small wins that add up to big progress.

Your day might include:

  • Supporting sensory regulation strategies
  • Encouraging communication and independence
  • Using behaviour support plans
  • Celebrating breakthroughs, however small

This role is perfect if you’re considering a career in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or Teaching.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a Psychology degree
  • Stays calm under pressure
  • Understands that behaviour is communication
  • Wants to learn and grow

You’ll get full support from us, regular check‑ins, and access to specialist CPD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
