SEND Support Worker –Gateshead
We are seeking a SEND Support Worker to join a great secondary school in the Gateshead area. The role is to begin as soon as possible and is on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEND and SEMH children and will help support these students in an alternative provision unit.
About the Role- Supporting students with SEND needs, helping them to engage with lessons and develop positive coping strategies.
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to create a structured and supportive environment.
- Using de-escalation techniques and a positive approach to behaviour management.
- Building strong relationships with students to help them achieve their potential.
- Previous experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students.
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people.

The advertised rate of pay is £90 - £110 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
