We’re looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Gateshead and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates or individuals with a strong can‑do attitude who are passionate about making a difference in education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning, supporting pupils, and ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
• Support pupils consistently while responding to individual needs
• Manage student behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere
• Promote inclusion, equality, and positive relationships within the classroom

• Experience working with young people aged 11–16 (school, youth work, or similar setting)
• Minimum GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
