A welcoming and well‑led primary school in Gateshead is seeking a Reception ECT to join their Early Years team full‑time, working 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
.

This is not a sink‑or‑swim role. You’ll be supported, coached, and guided every step of the way.

• Teaching a Reception class within a well‑established EYFS framework
• Delivering engaging phonics, early maths, and play‑based learning
• Building secure routines that help children thrive
• Working closely with an experienced EYFS Lead
• Receiving weekly ECT mentoring and structured feedback

You’ll have access to shared planning, established assessment systems, and a team who genuinely enjoy working together.

• Holds UK QTS and is completing or beginning their ECT induction
• Understands child development and early learning principles
• Brings creativity, warmth, and strong organisation
• Wants to build confidence in a supportive setting

• Clear behaviour and safeguarding systems
• A collaborative Early Years team
• Leadership that prioritises staff wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
