Looking for a role where you can focus on meaningful, 1:1 teaching without the pressures of a full classroom? We’re working with a supportive specialist setting in Gateshead seeking a SEND Teacher for the Summer Term. This is a part‑time role with flexibility around hours, ideal for someone who values building strong relationships and delivering personalised learning.

You’ll be working with secondary and post‑16 learners with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties, in a calm and structured environment.

  • Flexible working pattern to suit your availability
  • Supportive staff team and well‑organised setting
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact with learners who need consistency
The role

  • Support learners’ confidence, engagement, and personal development
  • Adapt content to meet a wide range of additional needs
  • Potential to deliver subjects like employability, IT, or preparation for adulthood (depending on experience)
What we’re looking for

  • Confident delivering individualised teaching
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • QTS/QTLS (preferred but not essential)

  • Option for 4 full days for the right candidate
What you’ll get
