SEN Teacher (Autism Provision) – Gateshead
An established specialist provision in Gateshead is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher with experience supporting pupils with Autism to join their team for the new academic year.
The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for learners with ASC, communication difficulties and associated SEMH needs. Their approach combines personalised learning with therapeutic support to help pupils reach their full potential.
The Role Includes:- Delivering differentiated lessons that engage and inspire learners
- Supporting communication development across the curriculum
- Creating a calm, predictable and inclusive classroom environment
- Encouraging independence, self-confidence and emotional regulation
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting provision accordingly
- Liaising with external professionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Have experience teaching children with Autism and SEN
- Be skilled in adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Be passionate about inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
