About the Role

The 16–25s Missional Pastor will pioneer, establish, and grow a missional presence among young people aged 16–25 in Gateshead—particularly those not currently engaging with church. The role focuses on students in Further Education, apprentices, NEET young adults, and university students from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds.

The postholder will build relationships, create pathways for faith exploration, disciple new believers, and develop a new worshipping community within this demographic. They will work across Alive Church’s youth (11–17) and young adults (18–29) ministries, ensuring continuity and integration through the transition from adolescence to adulthood.

The position carries an occupational requirement for the post‑holder to be a practising Christian, and all appointments are subject to our safer recruitment process.
