Family Liaison Teacher (KS3–KS5)

Protocol Education are seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Liaison Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school supporting students across KS3–KS5.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to step away from a traditional classroom timetable and focus on what matters most – improving outcomes for young people through family engagement, wellbeing support, and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with students, families and external agencies
  • Coordinate and lead EHCP reviews and annual review meetings
  • Deliver targeted SEMH and wellbeing interventions
  • Support vulnerable students through key transition periods
  • Champion attendance, engagement and positive behaviour strategies
  • Lead multi-agency collaboration to ensure effective support plans
  • Deliver staff training and contribute to whole-school wellbeing initiatives
Qualifications
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong knowledge of SEND, SEMH and safeguarding practices
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and student wellbeing
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills

    Can work strategically while maintaining a child-centred approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
