Grade E, SCP 8-11 (£26,823 - £28,141 FTE per annum, pro rata)

Hours:

Permanent, 35 hours per week, Term time only + 5 days (39 weeks per year)

• Have experience of working with children in a primary school setting
• Support the development and education of all children under the direction of the Class Teacher and Senior Leadership Team
• Have a working knowledge or experience of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies
• Provide effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for making their transition into Year 1
• Provide sensitive support for pupils’ emotional, sensory and learning needs
• Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENDCO and other professionals
• Be flexible, reflective and responsive to pupils’ needs
• Bring energy, warmth and enthusiasm to the role
• Demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with pupils and adults
• Support and uphold the Catholic ethos and values of our school

• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and those without additional needs
• Experience of teaching / supporting individuals and small groups
• Experience contributing towards planning learning for individuals and small groups
• The ability to use skills, expertise and experience to support pupil learning
• A caring, patient and positive approach that enables all children to achieve their very best
