Looking to put your criminology knowledge into practice?
Protocol Education is recruiting a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to work within a specialist SEN school in Gateshead, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including SEMH.
You will work closely with experienced education professionals to help pupils overcome behavioural challenges, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
This position is perfect for graduates considering future careers in educational psychology, youth offending services, social work, policing or teaching.
Responsibilities:- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour.
- Building positive and trusting relationships.
- Encouraging participation in learning.
- Helping pupils develop social and communication skills.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
- A degree in Criminology or a related subject.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy and resilience.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
