BSL Teaching Assistant – Gateshead | Full-Time

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people who use British Sign Language (BSL)? We're seeking a caring and committed BSL Teaching Assistant to work across specialist provisions in Gateshead, helping learners access education in an inclusive and supportive environment.

• Supporting learners who communicate using BSL
• Helping pupils engage confidently in lessons
• Promoting independence and positive communication
• Working alongside teachers and specialist staff to meet individual needs
• Travelling between different educational provisions across Gateshead

• A BSL qualification or relevant experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel between provisions is required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
