Nursery Teaching Assistant

Location: Gateshead
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Start: September
Pay: £107.71 per day

Milk Education is working with a welcoming primary school with a nursery provision in Gateshead to recruit a Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

The Role

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through engaging activities and play
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
  • Encourage children’s confidence, communication, independence and positive behaviour
  • Build positive relationships and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Work collaboratively with nursery staff while following EYFS and safeguarding procedures
About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Recent experience working with nursery-aged children
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification(desirable)
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and children’s wellbeing

Applicants must live locally to Gateshead – no relocation.
