Milk Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Gateshead with a nursery provision to recruit a Little Learners Assistant to join their team from September.
The Role- Little Learners Assistant
- Support young children's learning, development and wellbeing through engaging activities and play
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Encourage children's confidence, communication, independence and positive behaviour
- Build positive relationships with children and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Support children as they develop their social, emotional and communication skills
- Work collaboratively with the nursery and wider school team
- Follow EYFS, safeguarding and school policies and procedures
- Little Learners Assistant
We're looking for someone who has:
- Recent experience working with nursery or early years-aged children
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification (desirable)
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing
- The ability to build warm, positive relationships with young children
Applicants must live locally to Gateshead - no relocation.
