Enhanced DBS Check Required About the Role NLG Pathways is seeking an experienced and compassionate Intervention & Pastoral Lead to support vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 within our Alternative Provision. This pivotal role will lead pastoral support, intervention programmes, student engagement strategies, and safeguarding across the provision. Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) , you will deliver impactful interventions, support reintegration into mainstream education, and help create a calm, relational, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing Leading pastoral, wellbeing, and intervention provision Delivering 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEMH, EBSA, attendance and behavioural needs Acting as DSL and leading safeguarding practices Supporting families, schools, local authorities and external agencies Developing reintegration plans and improving student outcomes Monitoring intervention impact and maintaining accurate records Supporting staff and contributing to the strategic development of the service About You We're looking for someone with significant experience supporting vulnerable young people and a strong understanding of safeguarding, SEMH, attendance challenges, and trauma-informed practice.

Essential Requirements: GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) DSL training (or willingness to complete immediately) Experience delivering pastoral support and interventions Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience Excellent communication, relationship-building and leadership skills Desirable:

Experience with in Alternative Provision, PRUs or specialist settings Mental Health First Aid or counselling qualification Leadership or supervisory experience Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Ready to Make a Difference?
