Milk Education is more than a supply partner — we're a community for educators. We're currently recruiting for a Primary Autism Support Worker to join a Primary School in Gateshead starting immediately on a term-time basis.

You'll be joining a caring and inclusive environment where every pupil is supported to build confidence, independence, and reach their full potential. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact in a specialist setting.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, tailored to their individual needs
• Working alongside the class teacher to adapt lesson activities and resources
• Promoting engagement and positive learning outcomes
• Supporting behaviour management in line with school strategies
• Building positive, trusting relationships to encourage communication and independence
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
• Following all safeguarding procedures and school policies

• Recent experience supporting children
• Calm, patient, and consistent approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Caring, flexible, and resilient attitude
