Psychology Graduate - SEMH Support Assistant | Gateshead

Protocol Education are recruiting for a Graduate SEMH Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Gateshead.
This is an opportunity to take your academic knowledge into the classroom and gain first-hand experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
.
Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63-105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
You'll support pupils who may need additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 support
- Supporting pupils during lessons
- Developing positive relationships
- Encouraging positive behaviour
- Helping pupils regulate their emotions
- Supporting individual interventions
- Encouraging communication and engagement
- Helping pupils develop coping strategies
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
This role is particularly suited to graduates in:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
