Are you a brilliant communicator, someone who thrives from working as a team and gets a buzz out of supporting young people withspecialeducationalneeds andautism achieve theirvery best? Areyoupositiveandsolution focused? We are looking for Learning Support Officers to work with students on a one to one and group basis, supporting them to access mainstream, supported curriculum areas and work experienceandhelping them to achieve and exceed their goals and ambitions at college.

You’llbe responsible for motivating,supporting and guiding your students through their learning journey; developing support plans and learning strategies alongside curriculum staff.

Responsible for managing complex behaviours and ensuring learners are on track with their work and making progress against their Education Health Care Plan outcomes,you’llplay a key role in helping them get the most out of their experience at Gateshead College.

Whatwe’relooking for:

We’dlike you to be as passionate as we are about delivering top qualitysupportand helpingstudentto build their confidence and skills.

You’llhaveexperience of working with young people with SEN and Autismand will have completed or be willing to undertake further training

Experience of working with young people with SENis desirable,but not essential.
