A specialist SEND school in Gateshead is looking for a caring and enthusiastic graduate to join their team as a SEND Learning Mentor.
You’ll be supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
, helping them access learning, develop confidence and manage the challenges they may face in school.
Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63–£105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with classroom activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Helping deliver interventions
- Encouraging communication and independence
- Building positive relationships with pupils
- Working alongside teachers and experienced SEND staff
We’re particularly interested in graduates from:
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Criminology
- Childhood Studies
- Education
- Social Sciences
You don't need years of classroom experience. We’re looking for someone who is patient, reliable, enthusiastic and genuinely wants to support children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
