Graduate SEND Learning Mentor - Gateshead

A specialist SEND school in Gateshead is looking for a motivated Graduate SEND Learning Mentor to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Teaching, Speech & Language Therapy, Child Psychology or Children's Mental Health
.

Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63-£105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping pupils manage behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Supporting communication and social development
  • Delivering engaging learning and intervention activities
  • Assisting teachers within the classroom
  • Building positive relationships with pupils
  • Working closely with experienced SEND staff

Previous SEND experience is beneficial but not essential - a genuine interest in supporting children and young people is key.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
