St Alban's Catholic Academy, a primary school, is offering an apprenticeship as a learning support assistant, working with pupils. The post combines on-the-job work with a nationally recognised level 3 qualification, so the successful candidate learns while working. It suits someone with experience of children with a range of needs, patience and calm when dealing with challenging behaviour, and support for the school's Catholic ethos.
Visa sponsorship is not available, and a full enhanced DBS check is required.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or willingness to work towards them
- Experience of working with children with a range of needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to support children who display challenging behaviours
- Able to inspire children with a love of learning
- Patient, calm and dedicated to pupils' success
- Able to support the school's Catholic ethos
- Enhanced DBS check
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Satisfactory references
- Medical clearance
- Apprenticeship with training towards a nationally recognised level 3 qualification
