This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience on live infrastructure and development projects while building a long‑term career within highways design.

• Assisting with highway and infrastructure design work
• Supporting technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Learning Section 278 and Section 38 highway design standards
• Assisting with drainage, junction and access designs
• Supporting reports, calculations and technical documentation
• Liaising with colleagues, local authorities and external consultants
• Developing knowledge of highways standards and project delivery

• A genuine interest in highways, infrastructure or civil engineering
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good IT skills and attention to detail
• GCSEs including Maths and English
• Any exposure to AutoCAD or engineering software would be beneficial
