Financial Controller

Our client is a fast‑growing organisation operating within a dynamic and buoyant sector. Operating from several sites throughout the UK; the company has seen significant growth and has ambitious plans to continue and build on this success. Extension Recruitment has been exclusively retained to recruit a Financial Controller to be based at the head office within the North East of England.

Reporting to the board and managing a small finance team, key responsibilities will include:

• Day to day management of the finance team of 3
• Responsibility for all financial reporting including the production of monthly and annual management accounts with explanation, year‑end, and other statutory financial reporting
• Review current processes/systems and implement improvements to ensure more accurate and insightful financial information is available to senior management
• Regular communication and reporting to financial institutions, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Lead and drive implementation of a robust and sustainable accountancy system and processes
• Hands on input into the day to day operations of the business, adding value from a financial perspective
