We have an opportunity for a Medical Receptionist to join our team at Salamander Bay Doctors. This role is ideal for someone with current GP practice working experience who is eager to contribute to the smooth running of our front desk operations. You must be able to multitask, stay self-motivated, and work effectively as part of a team, whilst been friendly and outgoing and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining privacy and accuracy that will involve providing administrative support to our busy medical practice.
We can offer Immediate Start to the right candidate that is interested in casual, part-time, full-time position, Sick Leave & Holiday Cover & some Saturday.

What we're looking for- Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival & other clients in a helpful and friendly manner
- Minimum of current 6months experience in a general practice environment.
- Proficient in basic administrative tasks (scanning, filing, faxing, mailing, etc.)
- Knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule and relevant billing processes of Veterans Affairs, Workcover, and Insurance reports in a timely manner.
- Experience with debt collection, including monitoring & following up on outstanding payments. Maintain our recall and reminder system
- Handling incoming phone calls and correspondence, whilst managing collections & following up on unpaid accounts
- Providing general administrative support to the practice team & the clinical team
- Maintaining a high level of customer service with professionalism & the confidentiality of patients care
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients & colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent organisational & time management skills, with the ability to multitask & prioritise effectively
- Proficient in using standard office software (e.g. Best Practice, Pracsuite, Hotdoc)
- A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Support the day-to-day operations of the medical & allied health center
- Participate in ongoing training and upskilling
