About The Role
We are recruiting Support Workers/Carers in Seaham, near Sunderland to support people to live in and be part of the local community, within a supported living environment. Our services are about helping people to get out in the community and make the most of their time in their own homes.
Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.

- Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
- Promote the health, well‑being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
- Complete general housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
- As part of the role, complete a range of records and documents.
- Each person we support receives one‑to‑one support.
- Work both lone and in teams.

- Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex care is preferred but all training will be provided.

About The ServiceOur supported living services in the North currently consist of 13 individual homes, which are occupied as solo tenancies or dual tenancies. The services are located in Gateshead, South Tyneside, Durham and Middlesbrough.
