Contract TypeFixed Term 24 month contract
Hours18.5 hours per week (part time). Monday to Friday with some weekend and evening flexibility. Full or part-time applications will be considered.
LocationQE Hospital, Gateshead / Edberts House; some hybrid working.
Salary£27,311 FTE per annum/pro rata (currently under review).
Benefits25 days holiday per year, plus statutory holidays pro rata.
About the roleWe’re looking for a dedicated Cancer & Dementia Care Link Worker to support people living with life-limiting illness, cancer, and dementia within the Specialist Palliative Care Team.

Responsibilities- Provide personalised, holistic support
- Support shared decision-making
- Address practical and emotional needs
- Promote dementia-friendly approaches
- Work closely with clinical teams
- Experience in supporting vulnerable people with complex needs
- Ability to work within Edberts House’s values
- An enhanced DBS is required for this post
