We now seek an Activities Coordinator who is enthusiastic about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Working in collaboration and unity with the Home Manager and the wider and extended community teams you will be responsible for helping and engaging residents to socialise within the home. This includes providing a variety of activities that cater for all tastes, abilities, cultures and, respecting everyone as an individual, ensuring that you promote diversity and inclusion at all stages.

Main duties of the jobAs an Activities Coordinator at Akari Care, you will play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for our elderly residents. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing a variety of social activities tailored to the interests and abilities of the residents. You will work closely with the Home Manager and community teams to ensure activities promote diversity and inclusivity.

Each week, you will dedicate 40 hours spread over 5 days, including alternate weekends. The role demands creativity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt activity plans at a moments notice. The position also involves collaborating with colleagues and residents' relatives to foster a supportive and engaging community atmosphere. Additionally, you will take part in fundraising initiatives and budget management to ensure a vibrant and fulfilling activities calendar.
