Tynemouth Community Fire Station

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday 7-10.15am - Friday 7am-10am

Salary: £12.54 ph

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Cleaning and disinfect every day all work surfaces and floors and paintwork in the designated areas
  • Dusting, vacuuming and mopping general flooring throughout the site
  • To carry out regular clearance of waste bins as required within the designated working areas.
  • Carrying out planned and ad‑hoc cleaning duties within the building and to equipment located throughout the site
  • Ensuring that the facilities and services operate in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and procedures
  • Reporting all accidents and incidents as appropriate

About you:

  • General experience of cleaning
  • Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety best practises
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations
  • Takes initiative and works reliably
  • Candidates need a good working level of spoken and written English to carry out cleaning duties safely and to communicate with clients and the management team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
