Location:

Must be able to travel to our Head Office on Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead. Driving Licence Required Pay: £14.35 per hour

Must be able to start for 08:15, Monday - Friday. Weekend work may be required. About the role APM Cleaning & Repair Ltd is looking for a reliable and proactive Cleaning Supervisor to support the delivery of high-quality cleaning services across client sites. The successful candidate will supervise and support cleaning operatives, monitor standards, allocate duties, complete checks and audits, and ensure work is delivered safely and in accordance with client requirements.

This is a hands-on position. You must be willing to undertake cleaning duties and provide operational cover when required. A full UK driving licence is essential because the role requires travel between client locations. Main responsibilities Supervise, support and provide direction to cleaning operatives. Schedule and allocate cleaning duties across assigned sites. Ensure cleaning work is completed to the required specification and standard.

Carry out cleaning audits and site inspections. Complete dynamic risk assessments and relevant health and safety checks. Train, coach and provide practical guidance to cleaning staff. Monitor staff attendance and report operational or performance concerns. Manage and record cleaning-product, equipment and stock usage. Minimise product waste and identify stock or equipment requiring replacement. Inspect cleaning equipment and report faults or maintenance requirements.

Ensure daily checklists, satisfaction records and other required documents are completed. Respond professionally to client requirements and service issues. Support cleaners with their duties where necessary. Provide cleaning cover during absences or operational difficulties. Travel between client sites as required. Follow APM procedures relating to health and safety, COSHH, security and client keyholding. Essential requirements Full UK driving licence. Previous professional cleaning experience.

Previous supervisory, team-leading or comparable experience. Ability to lead, organise and support cleaning operatives. Good understanding of cleaning standards and safe working practices. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to complete checklists, audits and other operational records accurately. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently. Proactive approach to resolving day-to-day issues. Willingness to undertake hands-on cleaning duties when required. High level of integrity when working in client premises and around personal belongings.
