This role offers a clear pathway to becoming a Registered Manager within the next 12 months.

The Role

We're recruiting a Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, quality and performance of our CAMHS service while preparing to progress into a Registered Manager position.

You will lead and develop your team, promote a strong culture of safeguarding and quality, and ensure children and young people receive safe, therapeutic, person-centred care that delivers positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support compliance, quality assurance, safeguarding and continuous improvement across the service.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop staff through supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Monitor care plans, risk assessments and documentation to ensure high-quality, outcome-focused support.
  • Manage incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and risk effectively, embedding learning into practice.
  • Build strong relationships with families, Local Authorities, education providers and healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor service performance, prepare for inspections and audits, and drive service improvement.
  • Work towards becoming the Registered Manager, taking on increasing operational and leadership responsibilities.
About You
  • Experience as a Service Manager, Deputy Manager or similar leadership role within children's services, health or social care.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and child-centred care.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities or trauma.
  • Experience leading teams within a regulated service.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence using digital care systems and reporting tools.
  • A positive, resilient and solution-focused approach.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
What We Offer
  • Hybrid and flexible working opportunities
  • Clear progression to Registered Manager
  • Ongoing training and leadership development
  • Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support
  • A supportive and collaborative leadership team
  • The opportunity to shape and develop a growing CAMHS service
  • Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to travel to services and meetings when required

If you're an ambitious leader looking for a clear pathway to Registered Manager while making a real difference to the lives of children and young people, we'd love to hear from you.
