We are recruiting for an experienced CQC Registered Manager to join a growing specialist home care provider in Gateshead.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care while also having the commercial awareness and leadership skills required to grow and develop a successful branch.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the operational management of the branch, ensuring the service remains fully compliant with CQC and legislative requirements while delivering high-quality care to private clients and other stakeholders.
The RoleAs CQC Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the branch, managing a dedicated care team and ensuring the service continues to meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and customer service.
You will play a key role in supporting sustainable business growth, developing relationships with clients and professionals, increasing workforce capacity and ensuring the branch consistently achieves its operational and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain CQC Registered Manager status and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the branch.
- Ensure compliance with CQC, ISO and all relevant legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records, risk assessments, medication records and other documentation.
- Lead, manage and develop a team of care professionals and office-based staff.
- Identify training and development requirements and support staff progression.
- Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure sufficient staffing capacity to meet client demand.
- Ensure effective placement and rostering of staff to meet client requirements.
- Monitor weekly and monthly branch performance against agreed KPIs and targets.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and identify opportunities to develop the branch.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, families and professional stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and present professionally to prospective clients and referral partners.
- Manage key client accounts and develop long-term professional relationships.
- Handle complaints and feedback effectively, using these to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate processing and oversight of weekly timesheets and rostering.
- Provide regular performance and operational reports to senior management.
- Support the team with operational duties when required.
- Participate in on-call arrangements as required.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance, customer service and continuous improvement.
We are looking for an experienced care leader who is confident managing a regulated care service and understands the balance between quality, compliance, people management and commercial performance.
You will ideally have:- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager or in a senior management role within domiciliary or community care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and care legislation.
- Experience managing and developing care teams.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience monitoring KPIs, budgets and operational performance.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Experience building relationships with clients, families, Case Managers, Local Authorities and other professional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach.
