Fabricator (Flux Core / ASME IX Coded)

Location: Birtley
Engagement: CIS – Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: DOE

Manpower Engineering are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join the on‑site fabrication shop, working closely alongside the Welding Manager.

This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity, with a genuine intention to offer a permanent position to the right individual.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, quality‑driven, and comfortable working within a structured environment where meeting strict deadlines is essential. Work will focus on the fabrication of hydraulic components and assemblies.

• Fabrication of hydraulic components within a busy fab shop environment
• Working closely with the Welding Manager and existing welder
• Fit‑up and preparation of hydraulic assemblies prior to welding
• Flux Core welding to coded standards (ASME IX)
• Reading and working from fabrication drawings
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
• Adhering to QA procedures and production schedules

• Proven experience as a Fabricator in a workshop/fab shop environment
• Strong Flux Core welding experience
• Coded to ASME IX (essential)
• Ability to work accurately from engineering drawings
• Experience fabricating hydraulic equipment or similar precision components preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to meet strict deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to integrate into a small, organised team
