Job Overview

Talentmark is recruiting for a Laboratory Systems Engineer on behalf of a medical diagnostic company on a permanent basis. The position is office‑based in Gateshead, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on the implementation, integration, and troubleshooting of networked laboratory analyzers and associated software. The engineer will ensure reliable data flow across database management systems, middleware, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) platforms. The role also requires a clear understanding of how laboratory data flows between instruments, databases, and software systems.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Experience with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and Wi‑Fi.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud platforms.
Ability to troubleshoot software applications and hardware components.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Desirable Skills

Experience with LIMS or laboratory systems.
Experience in medical device/diagnostics environments.
