Job Description

Salary: £25,647

Shifts:

4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am (days and nights shifts)

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Packing Operatives to join our manufacturing team in Gateshead. Our site produces popular snack brands including Manomasa tortilla chips and rice cakes in a fast‑paced food production environment. This is a hands‑on role suited to individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Packing finished products accurately and efficiently
  • Checking product quality to ensure standards are met
  • Operating packing machinery safely and effectively
  • Labelling, sealing and palletising products
  • Keeping work areas clean and hygienic in line with food safety standards
  • Following health & safety and company procedures at all times
  • Supporting production targets and team performance
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not essential
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to work shifts when required
