Quality Technician

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known Engineering company based in Gateshead. They are currently looking to recruit for a Quality Technician. As part of the Quality department reporting to the Quality Engineer and Group Quality Manager this position is to manage the Q.A. engineering aspects of delivering new / transferred / current assembly / stamping tools, processes and equipment in line with Customer approval processes and supporting production requirements Key Accountabilities Liaise directly with all relevant customer(s) Support internal and Customer containment activities Support all relevant customer concerns raised using 8D methodology Oversee the investigation of internal concerns Complete detailed product and process audits in accordance with IATF
16949 Assist in the training of personnel in all aspects of business processes To initiate all supplier raised concerns and support supplier management process Quarantine Log & Area maintenance Containment and rework analysis press & assembly Containment List - Reduction / Inspection improvement Carry out routine and non-routine testing (where applicable) Conduct periodic capability studies, MSA, revalidations and calibration Maintenance and improvements to documentation when required Provide support with all CI, Business Improvement Matrix and Quality Road Maps Carry out inspections and testing where required Jig making and maintenance Support engineering activities Translate assembly drawing requirements into measurement set-ups Key Experiences and Qualifications Computer literate;
Microsoft Office Skills Auditor skills Problem solving skills Ability to plan workload A current driving licence
