AD Hoc Registered Nurse

Pay: £22.50 – £23 P/H
Location: Gateshead & South Tyneside
Contract: Ad Hoc / Bank / Flexible Hours
Driving Licence: Essential

Prestige Nursing & Care Gateshead & South Tyneside is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RGN/RN Adult/RSCN) to join our growing team on an Ad Hoc basis.
This flexible role is ideal for nurses looking to supplement their current employment, maintain work-life balance, or gain experience supporting individuals with complex health needs in their own homes and community settings.

As an Ad Hoc Nurse, you will provide clinical support across a range of care packages, ensuring safe, person-centred care for both adults and children. You will work closely with care teams, clients, families, healthcare professionals, and our branch management team to deliver outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities may include:

• Clinical assessments and reviews
• Supporting the development and implementation of care plans
• Conducting competency assessments and clinical observations
• Delivering clinical training to care staff
• Providing specialist nursing support for complex care clients
• Ensuring safe medication management and clinical governance
• Identifying and managing clinical risks
• Supporting safeguarding and quality assurance processes
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals

• Active NMC registration with a valid PIN
• Minimum 2 year’s post-registration nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills
• Experience supporting individuals with complex health needs
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• Community nursing experience
• Experience in complex care, tracheotomy, PEG feeding, ventilator care, epilepsy management, or similar specialist areas
• Teaching, mentoring, or competency assessment experience
• Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
