Role Overview

As a Sofa Host, you bring Sofa Club to life on the showroom floor, helping create a space that feels like a destination, not just a store. In this part‑time role (20 hours per week), you play a key role in delivering both performance and experience, ensuring every customer journey is effortless, inspiring, and memorable, especially during key trading periods.

You take the stress out of sofa shopping, guiding customers with confidence and ease while creating genuine connections. You go beyond selling, styling, storytelling, and curating an experience that feels more like fashion than furniture.

You help set the tone in the showroom, maintaining a space that reflects our bold, design‑led brand. From supporting in‑store activations to engaging with the local community, you contribute to building energy, excitement, and positioning Sofa Club as an iconic British brand.

You live our values every day:
Change the Game by challenging traditional retail, The Power of Us by working as one team, Own It in every interaction, and Keep It Simple by delivering a seamless customer experience.

This is a hands‑on, part‑time position (20 hours per week) where customer connection meets creativity, bringing energy, style, and impact to every moment on the floor.

In‑Store Experience
  • Create an immediate impact with a warm, confident welcome that sets the tone for a standout, style‑led showroom experience, especially during peak weekend trading.
  • Lead a personalised, consultative journey that puts fashion first, making sofa shopping feel effortless, inspiring, and enjoyable.
  • Bring our brand to life by showing customers we’re not just selling sofas, we’re helping them express their style and elevate their homes.
  • Build genuine connections by understanding each customer’s lifestyle, aesthetic, and how they want their space to feel.
  • Confidently guide customers through styles, fabrics, and configurations, curating options that feel considered, relevant, and design‑led.
  • Create confidence at every step, ensuring customers feel supported, excited, and certain in their decisions.
  • Take full ownership of the customer journey from first interaction through to order completion and beyond, delivering a seamless experience throughout.
  • Handle all customer queries and challenges with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions‑focused mindset that protects the experience.
  • Use your product and styling expertise to recommend solutions that feel effortless, tailored, and on‑brand.
Sales & Commercial Performance
  • Play your part in a high‑performing team that wins together, contributing to a culture of shared success and accountability.
  • Consistently deliver against individual and showroom sales targets, driving strong commercial performance across key trading days.
  • Maximise every opportunity by confidently recommending complementary products and protection options that enhance the customer’s home and experience.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all orders, ensuring customers receive exactly what they expect.
  • Use omni‑channel tools to create a seamless journey, from quotes to conversion, giving every interaction the best chance to succeed.
  • Embrace coaching, feedback, and continuous development to elevate your performance and impact.
  • Confidently manage customer interactions through Book a Call, Zendesk, and failed finance follow‑ups to drive both customer experience and commercial outcomes.
  • Share ideas, insights, and best practice with the team to continuously raise the bar and Change the Game together.
Store Standards
  • Take pride in delivering a showroom that always looks and feels exceptional, creating a first impression that reflects our brand.
  • Maintain sofas and displays to the highest standards, ensuring every detail feels premium, considered, and style‑led.
  • Support visual merchandising to keep the showroom fresh, inspiring, and aligned with our fashion‑first approach.
  • Ensure all product information and pricing is accurate, clear, and up to date.
  • Create an environment that elevates the experience, from lighting and music to scent and overall atmosphere, making the showroom a place customers want to spend time in.
