Account Executive

Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Account Executive to join the team at NCinsurance, part of the Jensten Group. You'll be based in our Gateshead office, with hybrid working once settled into the role. Reporting to the Account Director, the main purpose of the role is to look after an existing book of business, retain and grow this book, and generate new business.

The book consists mainly of general commercial clients.

• Offer and present insurance solutions, including insurance policies and risk‑management solutions, to secure renewals and/or new business.
• Identify and pursue cross‑selling, up‑selling and similar opportunities, utilising all leads provided by the company and developing new efficient ways to increase quote volume.
• Achieve or exceed the agreed volume of quotes/sales/income generated from all marketing sources, including personal prospecting activity.
• Understand clients' business operations, opportunities and risks, and their risk‑management approach.
• Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer‑service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA.

• Insurance industry background – especially commercial.
• Passion for new business and strong history of client retention (essential).
• Excellent customer‑service and communication skills.
• Excellent telephone manner, capable of building networks and working relationships easily.
• Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within insurance and sales.
• Acturis system knowledge (ideally).
