Support Worker, Community Health

We are recruiting a Project Worker on behalf of our client
, a well?established supported housing provider in Gateshead, working with vulnerable young people aged 18-25
. Reporting to the Project Lead, you will support the delivery of a safe, secure, and well?managed supported housing service
, primarily during evenings and weekends. This role focuses on housing management, building safety, and resident wellbeing, with occasional involvement in resident activities and engagement within communal areas.

Our client delivers high?quality supported accommodation for young people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, homelessness. The service provides modern, self?contained accommodation alongside tailored, person?centred support
, helping residents to develop independence, stability, and life skills. You will work closely with Support Workers, other Project Workers, and residents themselves to ensure the service operates to a high standard at all times.

• Maintain the safety and security of the service during out?of?hours periods
• Carry out basic housing management duties and domestic checks
• Monitor communal areas and building condition, reporting and responding to issues appropriately
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, concerns, or emergencies
• Promote positive engagement, wellbeing, and resident participation
• Support or facilitate activities and events within communal areas when required
• Work collaboratively as part of a wider support team to deliver excellent outcomes for residents
