Class 2 Driver

Position: Class 2 Driver Days
The Best Connection is currently seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for an ongoing temporary position on behalf of our client based in Gateshead.

This HGV Class 2 Driver role starts on a temporary basis; however, there is genuine potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Role Requirements for the HGV Class 2 Driver:

Safe Delivery:

Transporting and delivering flooring products, including carpets, vinyl, and accessories, to independent retailers and contractors across the North East.

Manual Handling:

This is a physical HGV Class 2 Driver role involving the loading and unloading of carpets and flooring materials.

Customer Service:

Acting as a professional face of the company during multi-drop deliveries and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Vehicle Checks:

Completing all necessary pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.

Pay & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: £14.75 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday (No weekends)
Start Time: 06:30 am

Contract:

Ongoing temporary role with temp-to-perm potential
Weekly Pay:
Every Friday directly into your account
Holiday Pay:
Accrued weekly

Candidate Requirements for the HGV Class 2 Driver Position:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category

C) licence
Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only) for insurance purposes
A physically fit and proactive approach to multi-drop work
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
